Connect with our Wellbeing Peer Worker Sarwat to talk about wellbeing and life as a student.
Are you looking after your mental health and wellbeing? Need someone to hear you out?
Life as an international student can sometimes be challenging, busy, unfamiliar or overwhelming – sometimes it helps to speak to someone who has been through the same things as you.
Our friendly Wellbeing Peer Worker Sarwat is a current international students who can lend a supportive ear and help you with your journey as an international student. She'll provide a safe and open space for you to share your experiences, and if you'd like, share tips on how to look after your mental health, as well as events and services to help support your wellbeing.
Topics our wellbeing peer worker can help with include:
Hi, I'm Sarwat and I was born and raised in Bangladesh! I'm currently studying Bachelor of Social Work.
My passion for promoting wellbeing and helping people has led me to this role as a Peer Worker here at RMIT. I love being in this role because it gives me the opportunity to support and empower others on their journey to improved mental health and overall wellbeing.
I'm a social butterfly and you'll often find me running around the city in search of the next best coffee shop. I'm here to chat with anything you would like – whether it’s about mental health, homesickness or sharing my favourite cafe spots around campus.
Book in an appointment through the Student Connect portal via the link below. Please select 'International Student Peer Support Team'.
Our Peer Workers are available for chat bookings through to June 2024.
