This government-funded program helps apprentices with any challenges that may occur during their apprenticeship, whether they are workplace, training or personal in nature.
The Apprenticeship Support Program, funded by the Victorian Government, assists apprentices to successfully navigate the apprenticeship system and to work through any challenges that may occur during their apprenticeship, whether they are workplace, training or personal in nature.
The program engages Apprenticeship Support Officers (ASOs) who offer free, confidential, support and advice service to help apprentices work through challenges and successfully complete their apprenticeships.
Please note, this service is for apprentices only.
ASOs can assist apprentices with referrals to other bodies (such as the VRQA, Centrelink and WorkSafe), learner support, employment services and local health services.
Some of the issues that an ASO can assist with are:
"As an ASO, I am here to listen and support & assist all apprentices with any issue or challenge they may be experiencing. I would encourage any Apprentice, whether the issue be minor or major, to reach out as soon as possible as we’re here to help you." – Anita Johns, RMIT ASO
