Research areas

We take a multi-disciplinary approach to conduct fundamental and applied research that delivers tangible benefits to society, industry, and government.

Our five research areas include environmental impact, terrestrial sciences, aquatic sciences, atmospheric processes and analytical techniques.

Facilities

Based at RMIT’s City and Bundoora campuses, our team of more than 25 researchers are supported by our extensive research facilities including state-of the art analytical equipment for testing a wide range of organic and inorganic pollutants, metals/metalloids and particulates.

Our environmental testing facilities cover water, soil, air and biological matrices, ecotoxicology, microbiology, biochemistry, metagenomics and natural products analysis.
