Comic Making for Beginners

Work with RMIT final-year creative writing students to create stories about the city using practical, visual storytelling skills.

Ever wanted to try your hand at comic creation? Now's your chance!

In this super fun hands-on event, you'll learn how to build stories and bring them to life through a range of visual storytelling tactics.

This workshop will see you partnered up with a select group of creative-writing students from RMIT's comic-making studio. These students have been working throughout the semester to build their visual and spatial storytelling skills and are now ready to pass their learnings forward. With leading comic-making tutors Ben Juers and Rachel Ang from Glom Press guiding the way, students will assume the role of teachers and work alongside you to create stories about how we use the city, while helping you to hone your visual storytelling skills.

Please note this event will be held within the Wesley Place – Business Hub.
