Health and wellbeing are our greatest assets, and careers in medicine can be diverse and rewarding.
The sector is seeing increased demand for registered nurses, allied health professionals and counsellors, as well as child carers, chiropractors and osteopaths.
Technology has also made digital and remote health a mainstay.
RMIT’s health programs support students to learn in purpose-built labs and clinics, with industry leaders.
And as the only university in Victoria with a Chinese medicine program, RMIT supports a World Health Organization program that integrates traditional medical practice into public healthcare around the globe.

Subtitle: Runu - Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)
Audio: Upbeat melodic music plays.
Runu speaks:
When I was a kid, I always knew I wanted to work in the health industry. I just thought it was really interesting, medicine or anything to do with the human body, so I decided to turn my love for health into a career when I got my first job in the local pharmacy in Portland.
I chose RMIT because I came to RMIT's open day, saw the campus, saw Bundoora campus, and it was beautiful and staff was so helpful. Everyone was lovely and yeah, it was just really good vibes.
I like RMIT's course because it's really structured and it's all laid out. It's very straight forward so you know what you're doing.
I probably spend the most time on campus either in the library or in the pharmacy rooms. We've got a little mock dispensary with our little mock medicine boxes and we also have dispensing software so they can help us practice and get our skills up when we enter the workforce.
The RMIT staff are really supportive. If you need anything, they all have an open door policy so you can email them, call them up anytime that you have any struggles with assignments.
Living on campus, it's pretty amazing. There's a real sense of community, but you also have time to go off and do your own thing if you want to.
Audio: Ambient music becomes more upbeat.
Runu speaks:
When I first came to RMIT, I got involved in the netball club and that was great place to meet new people, get active.
Some of my favorite places to get out in nature on campus is the boardwalk at the front of campus or the netball courts, go and shoot some hoops.
If I could give any advice to someone that was moving away from home and thinking about studying at RMIT, my advice would be: just do it. It's great.
What's next for me is I want to finish my honors project, finish up my intern year and then work as a pharmacist across Australia.
