Chinese medicine is one of the most commonly used complementary therapies in the world. It is the treatment of clinical conditions using medicinal sources such as roots, flowers, seeds and leaves of plants. It also includes therapies like acupuncture, cupping (applying a heated cup to the skin to create suction) and tui na (remedial massage).
When you arrive, you will be assessed by our supervised senior students, who will check your pulse and tongue, and discuss any issues with your sleep, appetite, perspiration and body temperature. From this, we develop treatment plans, or consider referral to other practitioners where appropriate.
Depending on your health conditions, we may recommend treatments such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, manual therapy (therapeutic Tuina) and dietary therapy.
