Your application process will depend on the course you're interested in. If you know which course you want to apply for, you can search for it here, and then click the Apply button once you're on the page. The apply page for each course contains information about midyear application dates, entry requirements and what you need to start the application process.

Semester 2, 2024 (Midyear) applications open on 12 March. 

To find out whether a course is open for application, click the ‘Apply’ button at the top of the specific course’s RMIT webpage. You can also get in contact with  Study@RMIT if you have any questions that you need answered.

Applications will be accepted for each program until all places are filled, so ensure you apply as early as possible for your application to be considered. Late applications may result in a delayed class commencement. 

With a focus on collaboration, the learning experience at RMIT will mostly be delivered through face-to-face classes. Relevant learning materials and content will be available online and can be accessed prior to and in-between classes via our digital learning platform. 

During classes, you'll deepen your knowledge by connecting with expert teachers and undertaking projects and assessments that are both individual and collaborative, so that you can graduate work-ready.

You'll also gain a range of opportunities beyond the classroom, which may include global and industry experiences. Industry experiences will be a key part of your learning and may be in the form of presentations and panels with industry experts, real-world client briefs, simulated workplace experiences in the classroom and more.

Yes. RMIT is giving more Victorians than ever access to Free TAFE courses that give you in-demand skills for priority jobs. Eligible students do not pay tuition fees for a range of vocational qualifications associated with in-demand jobs.

Every RMIT program has its own specific set of entry requirements during the admissions dates. To be selected you need to meet the entry requirements as outlined on the program page as part of the application assessment.

 

Yes! Students who are studying at another university or institution can apply to study at RMIT and may be eligible to receive credit for previous study.

Some programs only take applicants with advanced standing at midyear. This means you must have already completed a certain amount of time or have completed tertiary qualification in the same or relevant discipline. To find out more about opportunities to transfer from one RMIT program to another, or how previous study may be acknowledged, explore our pathways.

Many programs are offered at midyear. To find out which courses are open for midyear enrolment, select your interest area (for example, business), and then select the program you are interested in studying. By clicking on the Apply button, you will see if there is a midyear intake in July.

Every year the availability of programs offered for midyear enrolment changes depending on a number of variables. If your program is not available during the offer dates then you can apply for any other program that is available, or apply for Semester 1 (February intake).
